COMMISSIONER CHARGES MANAGEMENT ON LOYALTY

The Ogun State Commissioner for Rural Development, Engr. Taiwo Adedotun has charged management staff of the ministry to be more committed to their duties and display loyalty to the government of the day.

The Commissioner gave the charge during his maiden meeting with the management team, held at the Ministry’s Conference Hall, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, advising them to work harder and be diligent in their respective areas of specialization, as dedication and steadfastness to work would be rewarded.

Engr. Adedotun called on them to shun activities that could hinder efficient performance, embrace team-work towards achieving the aim of bringing more dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people at the grassroots, expressing his readiness to work with all sections of the ministry.

In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olalekan Lukan, intimated the Commissioner of the mission of the ministry, saying it was to ensure infrastructural development in rural communities, with a view to uplifting the economic, social and commercial activities of the State.

Mr. Lukan while congratulating the Commissioner on his appointment promised unalloyed support of the management to the successful implementation of Government policies and programmes, expressing optimism that his tenure would bring improvement to the ministry, particularly in provision of facilities needed, which included project vehicles to effectively penetrate the grassroots.

The Permanent Secretary charged other management members to look inward and assist the present administration to fulfill his promise of developing the rural areas.

Prayers were offered for a successful working relationship and progress of the State.
